Toowoomba Teen Talks is an event for parents and carers of Teenagers. This is the first event of its kind to specifically and comprehensively bring together all of the information you need to help parent your Teen.

Toowoomba Teen Talks includes:

  • Over 30 talks on a variety of topics from ‘Sex and Schoolies’ to ‘How to Cope with Teaching Your Teen to Drive’. Click here to go to the program.   • An EXPO. Get the resources you need, find who to contact to help, ask a question of one of our Psychologists available throughout the week, or simply take a brochure away with you.
  • Don’t miss our Facebook Corner. Don’t be scared – we assist you to set up your own Facebook account, learn about privacy settings and how to befriend your Teenager on this popular social networking platform.
  • Bring in your Teen and 5 favourite photos to participate in the ABC Open ‘Moment Behind the Photo’ project. Every day from 2pm – 5pm. Click here for more information on this activity.
  • ‘The Teen Stage’ – Local teenagers showcase their talents. We often forget that our young people have many talents and contribute to their families and the community in many ways on the great learning curve to becoming adults. Also, Thursday night sees the 5th Annual Instru-Mental Talent Contest on the stage. Download an entry form now – click here.

Toowoomba Teen Talks has been coordinated by the Healthy Lifestyle and Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs programs run by GP Connections, based in Toowoomba, Queensland.

We aim to provide parents and carers of Teenagers with information, resources and tools to help with parenting teenagers.
